In 2016 Hanwha Q CELLS, one of the world’s largest producers of photovoltaic modules and Silicon Module Super League (SMSL) member has placed an order to InnoLas Solutions GmbH (InnoLas) for an ILS-TT laser machine for its R&D facilities. The ultrafast and precise laser processes of InnoLas help to increase solar cell efficiency as well as throughput, thus reducing the overall cost of solar power. The ILS-TT is a production proven high throughput laser machine platform, which allows Hanwha Q CELLS to further improve their existing production processes for their crystalline Silicon solar cells.

InnoLas had already supplied its ILS-TT laser machine to former Q-Cells in the past and has now been chosen to become the partner for the development of Hanwha Q CELLS’ next generation production technology. The ILS-TT was delivered to Hanwha Q CELLS’ R&D facilities in Germany in September of this year.
