Photonics Systems Group bündelt Kräfte in Kraillinger Innovationsmeile

The Photonics Systems Group, a market leader in laser systems for micromachining, is consolidating its strengths under one roof. Today, the first groundbreaking ceremony for the new building in Krailling’s Innovation Mile (KIM) took place, with the project having already been approved by the Krailling Construction Committee last year. The Group, comprising the companies InnoLas Solutions, LS Laser Systems and EPP Electronic Production Partners, is thus realising its goal of bundling the Group members’ expertise and continuing to grow together internally.

The groundbreaking ceremony means that construction work has now officially begun on the new property, which will be built opposite InnoLas Solutions’ current production hall on Pionierstrasse over the coming months. The Group’s previous locations in Lise-Meitner-Strasse, Justus-von-Liebig-Ring and Dornierstrasse in Gilching will be closed down when the move to the new building is complete. Only the production hall will remain, which will be converted into a cutting-edge laboratory.

“We are taking this important step together as the Photonics Systems Group despite the current gloomy economic situation as we are convinced that providing our employees with a modern and attractive working environment will have a lasting positive effect on the entire Group. Moving into one building allows us to combine our strengths, consolidate our cooperation and be able to achieve our goals more efficiently as a result,” says Markus Nicht, CEO of the Photonics Systems Group.

The new property in the Innovation Mile will have three floors: The ground floor will be designed completely as a production hall, with two floors of office space equipped with modern workstations above it. There will also be an underground car park underneath the building. The move is planned for the last quarter of 2021.
